Step 1: Locate Your Blue Renewal Card
The first thing you need to do is find your blue renewal card in your client portal. This card contains all the essential information required to complete your renewal process.
Step 2: Access the Renewal Portal
Scan the QR code on the blue card or use this link. This will direct you to the renewal portal. Once there, carefully review the information and proceed with the renewal.Â
Note: If your vehicle is 11 years or older and weighs 1 ton or less, it might be eligible for permanent registration. Contact us to explore this option if you’re our client.
Step 3: Enter Vehicle Information
Begin by entering your vehicle information, preferably using the Vehicle Number for brevity. Under "Business or Organization," input the name of your Montana LLC without commas. Disregard the "First Name, Last Name" section, as your LLC is the vehicle owner. Complete the first page by entering the address from your blue card into the Verify Address section.
Common Errors and Solutions:
If the names entered do not match the primary owner, simply accept and proceed.
If your vehicle is deemed ineligible for renewal, call us immediately to address the issue: (877) 913-5100
Disregard errors related to city and zip code discrepancies, as these are due to multi-county registrations and can be bypassed by accepting.
Step 4: Complete the Online Form
The remainder of the online form is straightforward. Review renewal fees, and contact us if you notice any amount under the County Option Tax – we can help remove it for you. (The $115 service fee would apply, but the county tax would no longer be an annual charge.)
Step 5: Review and Confirm
Check your vehicle information, add your preferred payment method, and you're almost done! If you have more vehicles to renew, click "Add Another Vehicle." Otherwise, proceed to the summary and complete the process. After a successful payment, you'll receive a confirmation – be sure to save or print it for your records.
Step 6: Await Your Renewed Registration
Congratulations! You've successfully renewed your vehicle registration online. Expect your renewed registration sticker to arrive via USPS First Class within 3-4 weeks. An email notification will be sent once it's shipped to your address.
